Start Your 2025 Journey with Tawakkul: Rely on Allah to Achieve Your Goals
Bismillah بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Alhamdulillah, I’m so blessed to still have the opportunity to continue writing my blog. My goal for this post is to inspire you to pursue your goals and highest dreams for 2025. Let me share with you how I overcame my mental blocks and how I plan to achieve my goals this year, relying entirely on Allah’s mercy and guidance.

The Struggles of Starting Fresh
I had the most mental blocks this year. I didn’t even know where to begin. What goals should I pursue? I bought a planner, thinking it would help, but then I found myself stuck, unsure of what to do with it. Have you ever felt like that?
Now that we’re already in January, there’s no time to waste. I’ve realized I just need to jump in and get started. One thing I absolutely love about Allah’s encouragement in the Quran is the reminder to simply try your best, and He will take care of the rest.
Quranic Inspiration
“And whoever puts their trust in Allah, then He alone is sufficient for them.” (Surah At-Talaq: 3)
This powerful verse reminds us that the pressure to succeed isn’t on our shoulders alone. When we admit that we are slaves of Allah, we acknowledge that He is our Savior, the One we rely on to achieve anything.
Prophet Musa’s Story: A Lesson in Tawakkul
I was listening to Nouman Ali Khan on YouTube, and he beautifully explained the story of Prophet Musa (AS). When Musa fled Egypt after accidentally killing a man, he was a fugitive with nowhere to go. He reached Madyan, exhausted and desperate, and sat under a tree.
There, he saw two girls struggling to water their cattle. Out of compassion, he asked them why they weren’t letting their animals drink. The girls explained that they didn’t want to mingle with the men by the well—it wasn’t appropriate for them as women. So Musa, despite his own fatigue, helped them by watering their cattle.
SubhanAllah, do you know what happened next?
- Allah blessed Musa (AS) with a new home in Madyan.
- He gave him a wife, one of the daughters of the two girls.
- And he granted him a job with the girl’s father.
Reflection
All of this came as a result of one small good deed. Musa (AS) relied on Allah, and in return, Allah gave him more than he could have imagined.
Takeaway
“So remember Me; I will remember you. And be grateful to Me and do not deny Me.” (Surah Al-Baqarah: 152)
When we take a single step toward Allah, He rewards us with unimaginable blessings. This is the essence of tawakkul—doing our best while relying on Allah to provide.

The Blessings of Being a Slave of Allah
Throughout my life, I’ve experienced countless blessings, Alhamdulillah. Before I could even ask, Allah had already given me so much—my amazing husband, my beautiful daughter Maryam, a comfortable home, and a job I truly love.
Isn’t it amazing? Everything came with ease because I chose to humbly rely on Allah and submit to Him as His slave.
Why Relying on Allah Brings Peace
When you truly become a slave of Allah and focus on pleasing Him, Allah doesn’t just reward you in this world. He also promises the highest paradise—Jannatul Firdaus—in the hereafter.
A Powerful Reminder
“If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.” (Surah Ibrahim: 7)
By acknowledging Allah’s blessings and submitting to His will, we position ourselves for both worldly and eternal success.
Why Jannah is Worth Every Effort
Now imagine this: Your boss says, “If you work for me for just two years, I’ll give you free housing, a car, and a lifetime salary.” Sounds like an unbelievable offer, right?
Allah’s promise for the hereafter is far greater than this. He promises eternal bliss—a paradise where you’ll get everything your heart desires, forever.
In Jannah:
- You can have anything you wish for.
- You’ll meet Allah and bask in His love and mercy.
How to Earn Jannah
“Indeed, those who have believed and done righteous deeds—they will have the Gardens of Paradise as a lodging.” (Surah Al-Kahf: 107)
By pleasing Allah every single day, through your words, actions, and intentions, you set yourself on the path to eternal happiness.
My 3 Goals for 2025
This year, I’ve set three big goals, and I hope they inspire you to start your own journey:
1. Pay Off All Debts
Alhamdulillah, my priority this year is to clear all my debts. Financial freedom is a form of barakah, and I’m determined to achieve it with Allah’s help.
“The best among you are those who are best in paying off their debts.” (Sahih Bukhari)
2. Pursue a Degree in My Favorite Field
I’ve decided to finally go for a degree that aligns with my passion. It’s never too late to start, and I’m excited to see where this journey will take me, insyaAllah.
“The seeking of knowledge is obligatory upon every Muslim.” (Sunan Ibn Majah)
3. Memorize Juz Amma and Al-Fatihah with My Daughter
One of my most cherished goals is to memorize Juz Amma and Al-Fatihah with my almost 2-year-old daughter, Maryam. I believe this will not only strengthen my relationship with Allah but also instill a love for the Quran in my child.
“The best of you are those who learn the Quran and teach it.” (Sahih Bukhari)
Conclusion: Start Your Journey with Tawakkul
Alhamdulillah, I’m so grateful to have the chance to pursue my dreams this year. Despite the mental blocks and uncertainties, I’ve realized that the key to success is to rely entirely on Allah.
Allah encourages us to try our best and trust Him with the rest. When you admit that you’re His slave, you’re free from the pressure of doing everything on your own. You simply focus on pleasing Him, knowing that He’ll take care of the results.
Let’s take inspiration from the story of Prophet Musa (AS) and strive to do our part while relying on Allah to bless us with more than we can imagine.
This year, I invite you to set your own goals, work toward them with sincerity, and rely on Allah for success. May Allah bless your efforts and grant you Jannatul Firdaus. Ameen.
