Ramadan Kareem! A Simple Muslimah’s Ramadan Guide To Have A Blessed Ramadan
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
Salam dear sister, Ramadan Kareem! As we find ourselves immersed in this beautiful month of Ramadan, I would like to share with you some thoughts and action steps to enrich your experience during this blessed month. Let’s support each other as we aim to get closer to Allah SWT.
Before we start, I hope this little poem inspires you to take action, dear sister.
“In Ramadan’s Gentle Breeze”
In Ramadan’s gentle breeze, my soul finds peace,
As hustle and bustle quiet, worries cease.
Reflection and connection with Allah, I seek,
In moments of stillness, humble and meek.
From dawn till dusk, fasting draws me near,
To count blessings and shed a grateful tear.
Self-discipline and sacrifice, yes, they’re tough,
But in them, I find growth, and that’s enough.
Late-night prayers echo with heartfelt plea,
Drawing closer to my Creator, I feel free.
Gratitude fills me, as I cleanse my heart,
In Ramadan’s embrace, I find a fresh start.
More than just a month, it’s a soul’s journey,
A time for transformation, in faith’s tourney.
Ramadan reminds of resilience and grace,
A beautiful reminder in Allah’s embrace.
I hope this poem reminds you how Allah SWT is always closer to us than we can even comprehend. He knows our intentions and He knows that we are trying our best to please Him.
Just keep giving Him your best and that is enough insyaAllah. May Allah reward us immensely this Ramadan and may He forgive all our past sins to start anew. Ameen.
Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever observes fasts during the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allah’s rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.” (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)
This article is like a to-do list of things you should focus on during Ramadan. I try to make it as simple and clear as possible so that it’s easy for all of us to take action. In the end, Allah looks at our efforts, and the struggles we face when we try our best to please Him.
So don’t feel overwhelmed or disheartened if you can’t do some of these things. Just do your best. That is more than enough to Allah. InsyaAllah.
I am also a work-in-progress. Let’s keep reminding each other to do our best insyaAllah. 🙂
Okay, let’s get into it.
Step 1: Set Your Intentions & Goals

“Verily, deeds are only by intentions, and for every person is what he intended…” (Sahih Bukhari)
Start your Ramadan journey by setting clear intentions and goals. Think about what you want to achieve during this special month—maybe you want to ask for forgiveness, learn more about the Quran, or just be more patient. Make sure your actions match your intentions, and aim to please Allah SWT.

– Maybe you want to be more patient, learn more about Islam, or ask for forgiveness.
– Write down your goals in simple words, like a to-do list.
– Make sure your actions match what you want to achieve.

Step 3: Engage in more Ibadahs (acts of worship)

Make time every day for Ibadahs. Read the Quran, make Salah, and think about how Allah’s teachings apply to your life. These moments can bring you peace and Allah’s hidayah (guidance), so try to do as much of it as you can.

Conclusion: Ramadan Kareem everyone!
Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
“Indeed, there is a gate of Paradise called Ar-Rayyan, and those who observe fasts will enter through it on the Day of Resurrection, and none except them will enter through it. It will be said, ‘Where are those who used to observe fasts?’ They will get up, and none except them will enter through it. After their entry, the gate will be closed and nobody will enter through it.” (Sahih Bukhari and Muslim)
I hope this Ramadan brings you closer to Allah SWT and the Quran, dear sister. Let’s keep supporting each other and walking this path in increasing our iman (faith) and taqwa (consciousness of Allah) together.
Ramadan Mubarak, and may Allah bless you abundantly now and always.
