100 Simple Ways To Love And Respect Your Parents

Spread the love

بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِيْمِ

No matter how much we try, we can never repay all the sacrifices our parents have made for us growing up. So, the best we can do for them is to at least try our best to make them happy as long as they’re still alive.

There are many ayats in the Quran where Allah continually asks us to respect and love our parents at the highest level. Their status in Allah’s ranking is elevated to the utmost position.

Prophet Muhammad SAW said: “The Lord’s pleasure is in the parent’s pleasure, and the Lord’s anger is in the parent’s anger.” – [Tirmidhi]

This means that if you anger your parents in ANY way, Allah will be angry at you.

That is super scary!

But if your parents are pleased, rest assured that Allah SWT is also pleased with you. In sha Allah. It sounds simple but may not be the easiest thing to do in the world. 😉

So, here are 100 suggestions on simple – yet powerful – ways to love and respect your parents.

All the best! 🙂

And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: “My Lord! Bestow on them Your Mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.” – [Quran 17:24]

Whenever I think about my parents, it saddens me because there were so many things that I’ve done that caused them much pain and hurt. Whether intentionally or otherwise, they never showed their hurt.

Instead, they continue to show unconditional love and kindness to me and all my siblings. I bet your parents are the same.

So from today onwards, let’s try to be better sons and daughters to them.

Any good from this article is from Allah and any evil is from the shaytaan and me. May Allah forgive our shortcomings in practicing His deen.

Wa billahi tawfeeq wa hidayah

(All successes come from Allah and His guidance).
